Daughter of Isaac Spratt and Catherine Buchanan, and wife of John Stafford.

The spot where she chose to be buried was on property that the Staffords later deeded to the Presbyterians for their church property. It was stipulated in the deed that the grave was to be maintained by the church, and their members have always taken good care of it.
