Estherville – Funeral services for Dorothy Johnson, 95, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 17 at Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville with Pastor Joel Jorgensen officiating. Interment will be held at East Side Cemetery. She died on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Estherville.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. tomorrow evening at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.
Dorothy Louise Johnson, the daughter of Ardier and Myrtle (Kelsey) Beals was born April 22, 1909, in Russell.
She received her education from the Russell schools graduating from Russell High School. Dorothy then attended Des Moines University.
On June 28, 1936, she was united in marriage to Arthur J. Johnson in Russell. Dorothy taught in Northwood and Hampton. In 1955, the couple moved to Estherville, where she continued to teach.
Dorothy was an active member of Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville.
Dorothy is survived by her brother, Dr. Paul Beal and his wife, Vivian of Grand Rapids, Mich. and nieces and nephews.
