Anton "Tony" Cicak, 85, Schroeder, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center.

A funeral service was held Saturday, April 16, at Lutsen Lutheran Church.

Tony was born June 29, 1929, to Anton and Mary (Cervenka) Cicak in Chicago. He attended schools in Phillips and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was awarded a Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart, and the Korean Army Medal. He returned to Phillips where he was employed as a logger. In 1954, he found work on the construction of Taconite Harbor in Schroeder. He later worked at the plant until retiring in 1993.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Maryanne.
