Bryan Rowland
1923-2016
COLORADO CITY- Bryan B. Rowland, 92, passed away peacefully in the Mitchell County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, April 9, 2016. A memorial service for Bryan will be held on Saturday, April 16th at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
He was born in Clyde on September 20, 1923 to Edward Hollie and Emmie Jewel Bryan Rowland. Bryan was a man that was all about details, meticulous in every aspect of his life, which came in handy at work, as he was a foreman for Mitchell County.
In his spare time Bryan enjoyed writing and producing music, over 20 songs which he had copyrighted. He also enjoyed almost anything to do with science and history such as searching for and collecting artifacts, especially arrowheads.
Bryan is survived by a granddaughter, Lisa Santa of Lubbock; two sisters, Jo Beth Baumann of Weatherford and Valree Stephenson of California; and by nephews, Jimmy Browne and wife Leona of Colorado City, Johnny Baumann and wife Chris of Loraine; and nieces, Patrice McKinney and husband Pete of Houston, and Diana Looney and husband Terry of Weatherford. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Charlotte Brown; grandson, Buster Brown; brother, Ralph Phillips; sisters, Marie Wallace, Narzee Browne, and Estelline Howard.
