KIRBY, Mabel Rose Age 76 of Hamilton passed away in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Monday, October 4, 2004, at 3:50 a.m. She was born in Madison County, Kentucky, on May 5, 1928, the daughter of Walker and Mary (Vaughn) Peters. Mabel was employed as a nurse aide for Community Multicare for fifteen years, retiring in 1995. In 1964, in Wheaton, Illinois, she was married to John D. Kirby and he preceded her in death in 1978. She is survived by three sons, Lou and his wife Judy Stickler of Hamilton, George Stickler of Hamilton and Robert Stickler of Chicago, Illinois; one daughter, Patti Stickler of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, James Harrison of Richmond, Kentucky and Raymond Harrison of Sargus, Massachusetts; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and Dale Peters and two sisters, Ann Boshers and Lula Richards. Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Peterson, Chaplain of Vitas Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Vitas Hospice.
