Martha was the daughter of Burris (Burroughs) Estes Sr and Martha Lloyd. Birth and death dates are approximate.

Martha Estes, married Lemuel Morris in Orange Co, NC in 1823, then they followed Martha's father to Henry Co, TN (1823-24),
and then followed her brothers to Ark about 1839, (They were in Fulton co, Ark in 1850).

Lemuel and Martha had 12 children and he died in Ark. before 1860.
Martha, with her boys, moved to Washington with her brother, Thomas Estes - 18565270
She was in Walla Walla Co, Wash. in 1870

Nicholas Tartar (grandson of Thomas Estes) wrote in 1940:
"Patsy Estes married a Mr. Morris. She, with her family, came to the Walla Walla country with Grandfather [Thomas] Estes in 1861. I never heard of but two of her children, these being Madison and John Morris. I met both at Grandfather's near Walla Walla, Washington, in 1865. (When Nicholas was four years old.) Madison became an early-day physician and practiced his profession in the Walla Walla country. "

She died in Santa Ana, CA, near her two daughters, Sarah Buckley and Susan Fruit, who are both in this same cemetery.

Patsy's brother Burris Jr married Martha "Patsy" Morris. Maybe Patsy Morris and Lemuel Morris were siblings.

Inscription

(Her tombstone hasn't been found here, but her daughter, Susan Fruit was buried here about the same time and since Martha died here, she was probably buried near her daughter.)
