Erminia “Mia” Mary (Gerlo) Cormier, died peacefully Saturday March 26, 2016 at the age of 93. She took her journey from this life into the next encircled by the love of her family. Born in Springfield, MA on March 3, 1923, she was the daughter of Ciro and Rose (Morgantino) Gerlo. She is reunited with her adoring husband Paul Cormier who died in 2009 and her loving daughter Leslie Cormier who died in 2014. She leaves to carry on her legacy of love, grace and gentleness her son, Ronald Cormier, daughter Lisa Kramer and her husband Steven and grandchildren Michael Kramer and his partner Casey and Christopher Cormier. She loved chocolate and lobster, the ocean and a good book. But what she cherished most was her family. We will hold her memory close in our hearts forever. Calling hours for Erminia are Friday morning 9:30-10:30 at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust St., Springfield, MA. The Funeral Mass will follow at Holy Name Church at 11:30 with burial in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery. Her family requests that you perform random acts of kindness in Mia’s memory.
