He was born August 29, 1912 at Miffintown, Pennsylvania, the son of Edward and Jenny Varner.
He was retired from Pitney-Bowes. He was a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tracy (Buckley) Varner; and one son, Wayne Varner.
He is survived by one grandson; two great grandchildren.
