Elmer Wayne Lane, 69, of Jesup, Georgia died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at his residence after an extended illness. The Wayne County native was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and Hot Rod cars. He was predeceased by his wife, Linda Skinner Lane; parents, Alton and Mary Lane.
Survivors are his daughter, Mandy (Jimmy) Cramer of Dawsonville; son, Ronnie (Liza) Lane of Iva, South Carolina; step-children, Nathan (Michelle) Krauss and Scott Krauss of Jesup; sisters, Lora Barwick Dowdy, Mildred Lane Anderson, Janet Lane Evors and Joan Kennedy of Jesup; brothers, A. W. Lane of Stockbridge, George and Kenny Lane of Jesup; 20 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dowdy officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to service at the funeral home.
