Roma Baker Obituary

Roma L. Baker, 88, formerly of Waterloo, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett.

Mrs. Baker was a 1946 graduate of Waterloo High School.

She worked at Bowman and Albright in Waterloo for 15 years then at Renaissance in Auburn for 11 years before retiring.

Mrs. Baker was a 50-year, charter member of the Country Charm Extension Club and a member of Tuesday Bridge Club.

She was born in Smithfield Township in DeKalb County on March 26, 1928, to Clifford L and Edna K. (Sherwood) Baird. She married Edward E. Baker on June 12, 1948, in Waterloo and he died Sept. 1, 2002.

Surviving are three sons and four daughters, Richard A. (Judy) Baker of Auburn, Ronald E. (Judy) Baker of Fort Wayne, Tony L. (Tammy) Baker of Waterloo, Cheryl A. (Rich) Rudolph of Waterloo, Carla J. (Bruce) Smith of Garrett, Cathy J. (Doug) Peterson of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and Tonya K. (Kraig) Kelham of Garrett; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bud Baird of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Thomas Rudolph; two brothers, Richard Baird and Charles Baird; and a sister, Betty Custer.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with the Rev. Michael Halferty officiating. Burial will be in Waterloo Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation will be April 11 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m at the funeral Home.

Memorials are to the Kaleb Kelham Trust Fund.
