George “ Milt” McCall, Sr. 85, Jacksonville passed away peacefully on June 18, 2004 at the Earl B. Hadlow Center for The Caring. The Abbeville, Georgia native had lived in Jacksonville since 1952 coming from Abbeville, Georgia and was a Heating and Air Conditioning Mechanic. Mr. McCall was a US Army WWII veteran and was a member and Deacon of Norwood Baptist Church. He was a loving Husband of 60 years and a loving Father. Survivors are: His Wife: Carolyn E. McCall. 2 Daughters: Julia Lee (Gary) and Cathy Harvey (Reggie). 2 Sons: George McCall, Jr. (Sherrie) and John C. McCall (Linda). Also surviving are 4 Sisters, 2 Brothers, 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great- Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at the Chapel of Corey- Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue with Rev. A. Darrell Murray officiating with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday (TODAY) at the funeral home.
