Mrs. Ella Johnson, Long Time Resident Is Buried Tuesday
Mrs. Ella D. Johnson, 75, was laid to rest in the North cemetery Tuesday morning, July 31, following funeral services in the Free Will Baptist church, of which she was a member, at 10 a.m. The Rev. C. D. Benton officiated at the rites. Osterhout funeral home was in charge of burial arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26, in the Yale hospital, where she had been a patient the past nine months.
Mrs. Johnson, and her husband, W. L. Johnson, came to Drumright from Oklahoma City 1918. He was a carpenter and oil field worker. Mr. Johnson preceded his wife in death February 26, 1953. She was born in Paris, Texas, November 21, 1881.
Survivors are three sons, Elmer Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., George Johnson of Tulsa, and Lester Johnson of Willows, Calif.; and three daughters, Carrie Smith of Oklahoma City, Opal Fry of Modesto, Calif., and Frances Hahn of Marysville, Calif.
