OBITUARY-FORBES Funeral Home: Alfred Al SCHWOERER, (75), of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at Aurora Bay Care Center, Green Bay on 29 Nov 2010-parents: Alfred and Lorraine (GABLER) SCHWOERER-After high school served his country in the United States Marine Corps-married on 16 Sep 1955 to Carol BUSCHMAN at Corpus Christi Catholic Church-started his retail career working for H. C. Prange Co. in Sturgeon Bay as the advertising and display manager-owned and operated the Montgomery Wards Catalog Store for eight years-worked for Dorco Manfacturing (Midwest Wire Products) and was active in the Door County Manufacturers Association-In the early 1990s, he got his real estate agent and brokers license and established his own real estate business-was a past member of the Sturgeon Bay Jaycees and a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus-enjoyed gardening, playing the accordion, cooking, camping and going south to Alabama-Survivors include his wife, Carol; a son, Mark (Betty) SCHWOERER, New Franken; a daughter-in-law, Pam SCHWOERER, Pulaski; three granddaughters, Ali (fiancé Kevin), Lindsey, and Megan-preceded in death by his parents and a son, William-funeral services Thursday, 2 Dec 2010 at Corpus Christi Church, the Rev. Carl SCHMITT officiating- Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum-FORBES Funeral Home.
