Mrs. Hagood, 75, Dies in Loraine


Roscoe - Mrs. Oscar S. Hagood, 75, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Roland Nursing Home in Loraine where she had lived for the past two years.


Funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Roscoe Church of Christ with J. B. Hudson, minister, and Wayne Cothra, minister of the 4th and Elm St. Church of Christ in Sweetwater, officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery with the Wells Funeral Home of Roscoe in charge.


She was born April 7, 1892 in Hamilton County. She came to Westbrook and Mitchell County in 1906 and has been a resident of the Roscoe area since then. She was married to Oscar Hagood on Aug. 10, 1913 in Loraine. He died in 1965.


She was a member of the Roscoe Church of Christ.


Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Leland Light of Roscoe, Mrs. Tillman Parker of Roscoe, Mrs. James Ince of Hermleigh and Mrs. Alfred Hackfeld of Loraine; two sons, Clyde of Kermit and Wayne of Sweetwater; 17 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Dale Jones of Dublin, Mrs. Vashti Boyce of Midland and Miss Nannie Morrisson of Lamesa; two brothers, Seth and Preston Morrisson of Stanton.


Pallbearers will be Woodrow and Stelvin Kidd of Roscoe, Pete Morrison, S. E. Boyce and Oliver Boyce of Stanton, and Kenneth Kidd of Hobbs, N.M.
