Merkel, Texas - Funeral service to be held at 2:30 pm today for MRS. T. T. DAVIS, 52, Merkel resident for the past 22 years who died at her home here at 6 p.m Monday after a two day illness. The Rev. A.V. Henderson, pastor of the North Side Baptist Church is to officiate for the service at Barrow - Sheppard Chapel with Rev. Cooper Waters, pastor of the First Baptist Church, assisting. Burial will be at Roscoe.
Mrs. Davis was born in Dallas County and reared in Nolan County. She was married to T. T. Davis in Nolan County, Sept 1 1907 and had lived here since 1920. She is survived by her husband ; three children, Alton Davis of Dublin, Mrs. Ruel Ellison of Merkel and Curtis Davis of Merkel ; two sisters, Mrs. Josie Foy of Sweetwater and Mrs. Alvin Vines of Koppell and brother, Dan Badgley of Roscoe and two grandchildren.
