Mabel E. Muir was the daughter of John A. Muir and Martha Braidwood Muir. She married Walter W. Currey June 16, 1914 in Almont, Michigan. He was the son of Silas Winchell Currey and Mary Jane Weaver Currey.

Mrs. Walter (Mabel) Currey, 78, of 290 S. Almont Avenue, Imlay City, died Monday, May 31, at the Lapeer hospital after a short illness.
She was born March 9, 1893 in Almont. She married Walter Currey June 16, 1914.
Mrs. Currey was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Imlay City. She and her husband owned and operated Currey Rest Home in Imlay City for 12 years.
Surviving are her husband, Walter,; 6 daughters,......... a son........22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a sister....
Services will be this Thursday, June 3 at 1;30 p.m. from the Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Imlay City with Rev. David Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Scotch Settlement in Almont.
