Mrs. Castelli-Pennington was born July 17, 1919, in Ottawa, to Charles and Mary (Sculley) Engel. She married Fred Pennington on Sept. 5, 1952, in Decatur. He died Oct. 13, 1996.
She was a reigstered nurse and head of the nurses at Bethesda Memorial Hospital and St. Cloud Hospital.
She is survived by a son, David (Bonnyjean) Castelli of St. Cloud; 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Petre of Peru.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Libby Castelli; five brothers, Jim, Charles, Nicholas, Michael and Johnny Engel; and a sister, Catherine Hellman.
Age 87 years.
