My Granddad was the son of James William Albert and Carrie Frances Garten. He was the 12th of 13 children.

He married Viola Stokes, daughter of Dennis Thomas Stokes and Muriel Ida Sites, on 03 August 1940 in Charlottesville, VA. They raised five children. Their oldest son was Frederick Samuel Albert, Jr.

My Granddad is one of the greatest men that I have ever known. He is definitely one of my heros! You are greatly missed Granddad!
