W. S. Drane, age 65, died at his home at Smithfield, Tuesday night, December 31, at 9 p.m. with scarlet fever and pneumonia. He was ill only a few days. Mr. Drane has been a resident of Smithfield most of his life.
He is survived by his wife and one son, Lale Drane, and four sisters: Mrs. Richard Watkins, Smithfield, Miss Fannie Drane and Mrs. Willard Lale, both of Paris and Mrs. Minta Barker, Lexington.
