ATHENS - Mrs. Ann Eliza Swanner, 88, Lester, 1, died Wednesday at 4:45 a.m. at Jackson's Clinic, after a short illness.
She was born in Maury County, Tenn., moving to Limestone County at an early age.
Mrs. Swanner was a life long member of the Church of Christ, and the wife of the late Harvey Swanner.
Funeral services will be Friday at Hester's Chapel Church of Christ at 1 p.m. with Tonis C. Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Mitchell Cemetery, Lauderdale County. The body will remain at the residence until time for services.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Annie Hood, Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; Mrs. Bessie Lancaster, Beech Grove, Ind.; and Mrs. Media Cowan, Lester; three sons, Floyd Swanner, Loyd Swanner, Lester 1, Porter Swanner, Elkmont; one brother, Sam Adams, Athens; 32 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, with Spry Funeral Home, Athens, directing.
