He was born in Burke County, on August 5, 1951, to the late Earl Kaylor and Irene Skidmore Kaylor. He was employed with the Cleveland County District Attorney's Office as assistant district attorney for nineteen years. Stephen had and avid love for Civil War History and Alabama Football.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Putnam Baptist Church, Shelby. At other time the family will be at the home of Robert & Jessica Kaylor.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Putnam Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Smith.
