Daniel was born about 1818, the son of David Parks and Phoebe Ellis. He married Phoebe Knight on 29 July 1840 in Queens Co., NB. He was a farmer. His death date is not known at this time, but he died before the taking of the 1891 Census.

Daniel and his wife were reportedly buried in the family burying ground on their farm in Union Settlement, their stones no longer standing by the 1970s/80s.
