Allen Keith Bertoch was born Wednesday, September 29, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Hemenway Bertoch and Hazel Coon.

He attended schools in Bacchus, Utah and Cyprus Jr. and Cyprus High in Magna, Utah, where he played football and was all state tackle.

In September 1944, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps Reserve and was called to active duty on April 6, 1945. He was sent to Hickman field in the Hawaiian Islands. He served as a military policeman and criminal investigator. He was on a motorcycle patrol for General Eisenhower when he was on the Islands.

He returned from the service in January 1947 and attended the University of Utah. He was in the business of appliance sales for a few years and many years as a stockbroker.

He married Donna Vee Record on August 30, 1947; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on February 15, 1949. She preceded him in death on July 6, 1983. They had two sons, Stanley Allen and Thomas Roger. Allen later married Donna Jeanne Coet Marrietti on March 16, 1980. Her daughter Jeanine became part of the family. Donna Jeanne preceded him in death on March 30, 2000.

Allen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah. He resided at 7227 South Promenade Drive (2507 East) in Cottonwood Heights, Utah at the time of his death.

Allen was survived by his son Stanley Allen Bertoch, sisters Marilyn B. McDonald (Ralph), Jeanne Dalton, step-daughter Jeanine, eight grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was receiving special loving care in the home of his grandson Paul and Sarah Bertoch with their five young children, Scott, Kayden, Kaitlyn, Shantel, and Alyssa, who brought so much happiness and enjoyment to his life.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates Mortuary located at 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South) in Cottonwood Heights. A viewing was held one hour prior to the services.
Allen was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services in the Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
