Samuel Fredrick "Fred" Hoover was the son of William C Hoover and Sarah Jane(Jacks)Cole Hoover. He was one of the first people to live in Havelock, Iowa with his half brother James smith Cole. They were responsible for dredging the area to make it habitable. He never married and is buried in Washington Cemetery right next to his father.
