Mattie was a native of Richmond County, North Carolina and a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Ramseur. Mattie was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Ollie Lee Jacob Sweatt, sons, Roy Parrish, Homer L. Parrish Jr. several brothers and sisters.
Survivors: husband, Homer L. Parrish Sr., of the home, daughters, Donna Blankenship, and husband, Roger, Patricia Hudnall, and husband, John, both of Virginia, Brenda Jones, and husband, Mike, of Franklinville, and Linda Peace, and husband, Roger, of Trinity, ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Visitation, 6 PM to 8PM, Sunday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur and other times at the residence.
