BLOING, Mr. George - Of Flint, age 88, died Sunday, October 1, 2006 at Health Center. Mr. George Bloing was born August 24, 1918 in Houghton, MI, the son of William and Mary (Martin) Bloing and was a resident of Flint all of his life. He married Rita Plude on June 6, 1945 in Flint. He was a member and usher of St. Luke Catholic Church for many years. George was employed at General Motors, formerly AC Spark Plug, now Delphi, as a General Foreman for 38 years. He retired in March, 1974. Surviving are: daughter, Sharon Barnhart of Davison and her children, Jeff and Pete Barnhart; sons, Bernard (Angela) Bloing of Clio and their son, Brian (Kathleen) Bloing and their children, Vincent and Wyatt Bloing, son, Martin (Rhonda) Bloing of Byron and step-daughters, Shelby and Paige Hill; son, Daniel (Ruth) Bloing of Thompson Station, TN; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends survive. George was preceded in death by his wife, Rita (Plude) Bloing on September 15, 1983; brother, Ardell Bloing on December 18, 1983; parents, William and Mary Bloing in 1977; and son-in-law, Daniel Barnhart May 20, 1988.
