With a warm smile and loving demeanor, Lee G. Richards, age 90, bids you glorious farewell.

Lee returned home on March 22, 2016 to greet his beautiful, endearing sweetheart, Hazel Richards, whom he married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1951 and was blessed with three wonderful, cherished children: Jennie Zelig, Michael Richards (Paulette), and Annette Richards.

Lee served as a Marine in the U.S. military and graduated from the University of Utah in Accounting.

A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served diligently in many callings, including a mission to Argentina.

Lee distinguished his life and blessed the lives of others as an exemplar of kindness, gentleness, and optimism, with an amazing talent for uplifting those around him.

We love you, Papa. Until we meet again at the Cabin and Over the Rainbow.

Survived by his sisters, Nancy Poulton and Margaret Richards; three children, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to the SLC Veterans Nursing Home and Bristol Home and Hospice for their loving care. And to Charlie Brown, the V.A.'s kangaroo for hopping into his room to check on him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016. A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m., with the funeral from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., in the Olympus Stake Center, 2675 East 4430 South, Holladay.
