W.A. DAVIS BURIED MONDAY
Died of Old Age Saturday Morning
Was Confederate Army Officer

W. A. Davis, aged 86 years, died Saturday morning at his ranch home in the Moyie Springs district, death resulting from the infirmities of old age.
The funeral services were held yesterday at 1:00 o'clock p.m., at the Moore's undertaking parlors, Rev. E. R. Henderson conducting the services. Interment was had in the Bonners Ferry cemetery.
The deceased is survived by five children: R. A. Davis, of Guthrie Center, Iowa; Mrs. J. T. Norville, of Glasgow, Mont.; Mrs. M. J. [Ida] Dignan, of Butte, Mont.; Mrs. [Mary Ellen] Schwalbe and Mrs. [Margaret] Hutchings, both of Bonners Ferry.
The deceased came to this district some 16 years ago and located on a homestead near Moyie Springs. His wife died about six years ago and a son died here about seven years ago.
He was born in Nashville, Tennessee. During the Civil war the deceased served as an officer in the Confederate army.
The old gentleman was well known in the district and had many friends in all parts of the county who extend their sympathies to the mourning relatives.

He was preceded by sons John Wiley, Charles, Jessie, and William Davis.
