"Died in Lee County, Miss., on Friday evening, January 16th, 1885, Mrs. Elizabeth Ivanona Gamble , wife of Dr. W. G. Gamble, aged 41 years and 4 days....Iva was a daughter of James W. and Mrs. E. D. (Richey) Agnew, and was born in Due West, S. C., January 12th, 1844. While she was yet a child, her parents removed from S. C. to Lincoln County, Tenn., and from thence, in 1855, to Tishomingo (now Prentiss) County, Miss., into the bounds of Bethany church. Her father died in 1856, leaving her and seven other children … Iva Agnew Gamble was married on September 17th 1872… She was the mother of seven children, three of whom preceded her in death..
