Mrs. Adele Darcy, 94, a former resident of the Bremen Manor, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 1973, at the Myers Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Born December 21, 1878 in Kentland, Indiana, to John and Hannah (Moore) Cuthbert, she had lived in the Chicago area for most of her life. She married John Darcy August 29, 1900 at Kentland. He preceded her in death in 1922.

Surivors include one sister, Mrs. Lynn (Mabel) Perkins of Bremen, several nieces and one nephew. Two children, three sisters, and one brother preceded her in death.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mishler Funeral Home with the Reverend C. Samuel Overmyer, pasor of the Salem United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was at Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Worth, Illinois.
