Mary Jane DeSloover
1924 - 2016

Mary Jane DeSloover, age 92, of Monroe, Mich., passed away at the home of her daughter, Janet Parnell, in Covington, La. Her actual time of death was March 11th at 11:30 pm., and her recorded time of death was March 12th at 12:22 a.m.

She is retired from Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, where she was a diet cook. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church where a Mass will be said in her name on Saturday, March 20th.

Surviving are 4 daughters: Dianne Porkrywki, Janet Parnell, Joan Mead and Jean Ellison, and 3 sons: David DeSloover, James DeSloover and Joseph DeSloover Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph DeSloover Sr., and son, John DeSloover.

She has many grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, her body was donated to Louisiana State University. Also in accordance with her wishes, there will be no Funeral Services or Memorial Mass. Any donations to the family can be made to Hospice of St. Tammany, 725 West 11th Ave., Covington, La., 70433 in Memory of Mary Jane DeSloover, or to Louisiana State University Bureau of Anatomical Services, 1901 Perdido St., New Orleans, La., 70112.
