Ashlie Kathleen King Schneeweiss of Ash, NC died Thursday, March 17,2016 at NHRMC in Wilmington, NC. She was born October 5,1924 in Brunswick County, the daughter of James William and Cecil Smith Ward King.

She is survived by her sister in law Marie King, a brother Wayne Babson (Martha) of Bolivia, two sisters Barbara Evans (Cecil) of Whiteville and Betty Jane Smith of Ash; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jennings King, Eustace King and Ogal Babson and a sister Dorothy King Evans.

Kat was a beautician for 60 years, meeting many people and making many friends with each acquaintance. She was a long time devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She set a perfect example of how to live life for everyone who knew her. She loved flowers, gardening, travel, good food, children and the many fur babies she had through the years. She loved with no boundaries.

Her funeral will be at 1:00 pm Monday, March 21, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4469 Mintz Street, Shallotte, NC with burial at 3:00 pm in New Britton Baptist Church Cemetery in Ash.
