In about 1863 or 1864, Mary Elizabeth Horton gave birth to twin boys, Monroe and Madison Auld, sons of her third husband, Sherwood Ager Auld. They were born on the Auld farm near Downsville, but near the Ouachita Parish line. Monroe Auld died as a young boy, between 1864 and 1869. He is believed to be buried in Drew Cemetery, where many of his relatives are buried.
