Mrs. Dora Belle Pearson Boanholzer, 80. died at the home of a daughter. Mrs. Katie B. Aderholt. at 764 South 80th Place, last night She had been ill five years. Born Jan. 2. 1870. in Spartar, Tenn. Mrs. Boanholzer came to Birmingham when 14. She was the widow of Mike Boanholzer. who ran a grocery at Gate City across the street from the old rolling mill. She as a member of the Rebeccas and Jehovah's Witnesses. DURING WORLD WAR II she was active in Red Cross work, giving more than 500 hours of knitting service. Surviving, besides Mrs. Aderholt. are two other daughters, Mrs. Wilma B. Schuster, and Mrs. Freedle; two sons. E. M. Boanholzer, all of Birmingham, and Boanholzer, of Alabama City. Ala 16 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at Brown-Service Norwood; Chapel. The Rev. Mr. Littlejohn will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. The time will be announced.
