Concetta (Connie) Sgritta, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016. The daughter of the late Sabatino and Grace (Meli) Sgritta.
Connie graduated from Stamford High School and was employed at Reproductions of Stamford, Machletts, and Bloomingdales of Stamford. She was an avid Yankee Fan and enjoyed genealogy and crocheting.She is survived by her sister Candida Mancusi of Stamford , her sister-in-law Ann Sgritta of Cos Cob, and several nieces, grandnephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Salvatore Sgritta. Connie was a kind, sweet, loving sister and aunt who was very loved and will truly be missed. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Friday March 18, 2016 from 11:00 AM- 12:30 PM. A prayer service will be conducted at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
