In his will dated October 27, 1670 Lawrence Walrond, gentleman, of Langridge, Somerset, made his "kinswoman" Mrs. Mary Symes the legatee of all his lands at Langridge and gave her the executorship of his estate. Also given smaller bequests were "kinsmen" Edward and Lawrence Walrond and cousin John Webb. Her husband William Symes, Gent., had the will proved on November 7, 1671, but Mary had a further settling of the estate on September 7, 1691.
Mary had her posthumous son Richard Symes baptized on February 26, 1687/8 at Holy Trinity Church, in Doynton, Gloucestershire.
