William Oscar Hankins, 81, of Rayville, died Saturday morning at the Excelsior Springs Hospital after an illness of 12 days. He was born March 29, 1882, the son of Daniel Hankins and Sarah (Gant) Hankins.
He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Hankins was a member of the Old Union Church.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows.
Survirors are his widow, Mrs. Stella (Wise) Hankins of the home; one daughter, Elsie Nolker of Excelsior Springs, MO; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Craig of Rupert, ID; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today at the Old Union Church east of Lawson, with Rev. William Smith officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Jarman Funeral Home of Lawson, was in charge of arrangements.
