DOROTHY O'DELL

Dorothy O'Dell, 90, of Lebanon, died Monday morning, March 28, 2005, at Christian Health Care North in Lebanon.

She was born Oct. 7, 1914, near Competition, Mo., to Charles T. and Mahala Jane Titsworth Clark.

On June 4, 1939, she married Russell O'Dell in Lebanon, who preceded her in death on June 12, 2000. She also was preceded in death by a son, Charles Russell O'Dell, and two sisters, Florence Clark and Katie Oberlin.

She was a graduate of Lebanon High School in the Class of 1933.

In addition to being a devoted homemaker, she also worked at the Job Service Office for many years.

She was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church of Lebanon.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gretchen and Lowell Brown and Nancy and Steve Scott, all of Lebanon; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Gail O'Dell, of Macks Creek; nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Services for Dorothy O'Dell will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005, in the Holman-Howe Chapel with the Rev. Fred Bobe officiating.

Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to Meals-On-Wheels Program at Hughes Senior Citizens Center.
