Lula B. Candy, 98, of Hobe Sound, died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at Jupiter Care Center. Born in Jordan Twp., Ill., she had been a resident of Hobe Sound for 10 years, coming from Tequesta. Prior to retirement, she was the court clerk for the City of Hollywood, Fla., for 10 years. She was a past officer of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society. She was a member of the Hobe Sound Bible Church.
She is survived by her son, Roger Day of St. Simons Island, Ga.; her daughter, Jean Stolte of Grand Lake, Colo.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at Aycock Funeral Home in Jupiter followed by interment in Southern Memorial Park in Miami.
