Lula B. Candy, 98, of Hobe Sound, died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at Jupiter Care Center. Born in Jordan Twp., Ill., she had been a resident of Hobe Sound for 10 years, coming from Tequesta. Prior to retirement, she was the court clerk for the City of Hollywood, Fla., for 10 years. She was a past officer of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society. She was a member of the Hobe Sound Bible Church.
She is survived by her son, Roger Day of St. Simons Island, Ga.; her daughter, Jean Stolte of Grand Lake, Colo.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at Aycock Funeral Home in Jupiter followed by interment in Southern Memorial Park in Miami. Contributions may be made to Safe Harbor Animal Rescue, 185 E. Indiantown Road, Jupiter, Fla. 33477
