CHESTERTON - Edna L. Cutler, 93, Chesterton, died Friday (June 6, 2003) at Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home in LaPorte.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, Chesterton, with Pastor Judith McGee officiating. Cremation will follow the service at Heritage Crematory, Portage.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.

Mrs. Cutler was born March 23, 1910, in Woodville, rural Chesterton, to Charles and Annie (Michelson) Collins. On March 16, 1957, in Porter County, she married Cecil Cutler, who died Sept. 20, 1999.

Survivors include four grandsons that she raised, Terry (Verna) Kendall, Bagley, Wis., Jack (Sandy) Cutler, Santa Claus, Ind., Roger Carlson, Macon, Ga., and David Carlson, Greencastle, Ind.; one daughter and her caregiver, Rhonda Sue Barker, Chesterton; four granddaughters, Judith (Rich) McGee, Leiters Ford, Ind., Bonnie (Bill) Rightsell, Chesterton, Rose (Roger) Larimore, Kouts, Ind., and Linda (Fred) Eason, Chesterton; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Marie Carlson and Mary Lou Poski; five brothers, Russel, Earl, Ames, Alvy and Robert Collins; and two sisters, Waddie Wise and Willow Rinker.

Mrs. Cutler was a homemaker and loving caregiver to all of her children for most of her adult life. She was a member of First Christian Church in Chesterton.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of St. Anthony Memorial Health Centers, Michigan City.
