She passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the age of 96. She was born in Gossel, Kansas on August 15,1919. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Grady, sister and brothers. She is survived by her sons Tony (Fayette), David (Marge), and daughter Joyce. She was a proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at Montecito Memorial Park in a private family gathering. There will be a celebration of her life for friends and family at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Immanuel Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 8.
