First born child of Andrew and Neaty Hedrick Kepley. She was two years old when her father enlisted in the Confederate Army. He was killed at Sharpsburg, just three months after enlisting. Her brother Andrew Hedrick was born nine days before their father was killed. (submitted by Joni)
