Prof. Henry Biehler was an Allentown, PA tattoo artist and silk factory worker.

"Henry Biehler, 69, a former resident of Allentown, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Stanley Kline, Millerburg, Pa., where he had been residing for the past three years. A native of College Point, near Flushing, L.I., site of the 1939 World Fair, he came to Allentown in 1911, and had resided at 135 1/2 Linden St. While here was employed as a silk worker and after working hours conducted a tattooing shop at his resindence. Crippled since the age of 19, he took up tattooing as a sideline and in several years had a flourishing business, conducting the only establishment within a radius of 50 miles. Mr. Biehler became famous as a tattoo artist and his work became known throughout the eastern section of the country. His prize work was "The Lord's Supper" and the "Rock of Ages," which cover the back of a former Allentonian. Besides the daughte, with whom he resided, he is survived by a brother Joseph, paterson, N.J., and two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Schroeber, Haledon, N.J., and Mrs. Joseph Losgor, Long Island, N.J., and four grandchildren. His wife died three years ago. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church, this city, and the Modern Woodmenof the World. Services will be held Wednesday evening at the Riegle funeral home, Millersburg. Interment will follow on Thursday afternoon in Hillside cemetery, this city, with Rev. Warren C. Heinly officiating."
