October 7, 1938 - March 7, 2016 Dale G. Baker, 77, of Dreyfus, passed away Monday evening, March 7, 2016, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Berea.
Mr. Baker was born on October 7, 1938 in Estill County, the son of the late Burnam and Gladys Hunter Baker. He was a retired self-employed contractor.
Survivors include his wife: Eliza Allen Webb Baker; two sons: Paul Baker (Wendy) and Clifford Baker; four daughters: Sharon Spangler (Charles), Beverly Risk (Lee), Gail Detwiler (Stephen) and Jennifer Gray (Mark); two brothers: Danny Baker (Donna) and Mitchell Baker; four sisters: Ruth Felty, Paulette Gillam (Gene), Myrna Hehr (Wally) and Shelia Kay Evans; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson: Blake Baker; one brother: Noland Baker and two sisters: Carolyn Bradley and Donna Gabbard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Bark Road Cemetery at Dreyfus.
Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Paul Allen Baker, Aaron Dale Baker, Austin Lee Risk, Mark Gray, Stephen Detwiler and Charles Spangler.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Eugene Burns, William “Tuffy” Roe, Tommy Gill, Arthur Rogers, Lee Risk, Gary Taulbee and Mike Knuckles.
