Bill was a 1966 graduate of Clovis High School in Clovis, NM and received an Associates degree in Criminal Justice. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict in the U.S. Army having attended the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Bill would give you the shirt off his back, the most loyal and moral man with a core strength not seen in many people. He loved the Lord and was a very proud and honest person.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Wagnon Wilson of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Eric Cave of San Diego, CA; sons and daughters-in-law, Brett and Alisia Wilson of Phoenix, AZ, Michael and Maria Marquez of Albuquerque, NM, Jason and Julia Burgin of Dalton, GA; sister, Imagene Elizabeth Rainey of Amarillo, TX; twenty one grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephew. His loyal and faithful companions, Lily his chocolate lab, Mollie, Princess and Sinsa his boxers and Little Bosley his Chihuahua.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Lamon William "Bill" Wilson, Jr., will be held Wednesday morning, March 9, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN, with the Dalton American Legion Post #112 providing the military graveside honors. Pallbearers will be Scott Wilson, Jason Burgen, Rick Gibson, Brett Wilson, Brian Wilson and Joseph Wilson.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016.
