Barbara L. Hobbick, 85, died March 6, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 3, 1930, in Hutchinson, to George and Mildred May (Parish) Skellenger.

Barbara graduated from McPherson School of Nursing in 1976, and retired from Golden Plains as an LPN in 2004, after 37 years. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, Hutchinson.

On Nov. 16, 1946, Barbara married Keith F. Hobbick in Lyons. He died Dec. 10, 2004. Survivors include: children, Sandy Wedman and husband Dean, Hutchinson, Mike Hobbick, Hutchinson, Ginger Werth and husband Fred, South Hutchinson, Janet Hobbick, Drexel, Mo., Lynn Montgomery and husband Chuck, Hutchinson, Kim Trent and husband Marc, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jamey Zuelke and husband Dan, Hutchinson, Chris Stutzman, Hutchinson, John Stutzman, Gardner, Carrie Mercer and husband John, TN, Tina Evans and husband Dale, Inman, Chad Hobbick, Wichita, Amy Miller and husband Scott, Wichita, Mike Werth, and Kathy Wilburn and husband Gene, Okla.; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Skellenger, Hutchinson; sister, Edith McReynolds, Castleton. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Douglas K. Hobbick; two grandsons; sister, Elizabeth Brubaker; and brother, Jerry Skellenger.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, at First Southern Baptist Church with Pastors Ray Kempel and Steve Hodgson presiding. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, Hospice House or Good Samaritan Village, Hutchinson, all in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
