Agnes E. Williams, 89, of Marshalltown, Iowa and formerly of Eldora, Iowa died Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa, where she has been residing for the past seven years with her husband, Kenneth.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, Iowa.

Agnes Emma Jackson, daughter of Benjamin and Alice Shannon Jackson was born on July 5, 1926 in Grey Cloud Island, Minnesota. She graduated from Beaman High School in 1945.

Agnes married Kenneth W. Williams on October 29, 1950 in Beaman, Iowa. Agnes and Kenneth were married for 65 years and were longtime residents of Eldora where she raised two sons and worked at the Iowa State University Extension Office for 33 years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing Bingo.

Agnes is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Williams of Marshalltown, IA; sons, Charles (Mary) Williams of Wichita, KS; Robert (Roxanne) Williams of Eldora, IA; two grandsons, David Evans Williams and Darren Evans both of Wichita, KS; sister, Frances (Dever) Langholf; brother, Benjamin (Marge) Jackson of Cresco, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy, Mary and Opal; and her brothers, Wilbur and Frank.
