MRS. CHARLTON H. BLITCH

When Mrs. Charlton H. (Frankie)
Blitch was called to her eternal home,
Oct. 31, 1968, The United Methodist
Church of Homerville, Ga. lost one of
its most faithfull and consecrated
members.

It is with great sorrow and a deep
sense of loss that the members of the
Women’s Society of Christian Service
pay tribute to her memory. She had
been an active member of the church
and WSCS for many years and was
the leader of the Sunshine Circle at
the time of her death. She was also a
member of the alter guild and the par-
sonage committee.

She gave unsparingly and cheerful-
ly of her time, talents and money to
the church and every capacity in
which she served. ‘Frankie’ as she
was affectionately known to us was a
living example of a true Christian.
She was dedicated to her church, a
devoted wife, a loving mother and a
steadfast friend and neighbor.

She is survived by her husband,
Charlton H. Blitch, two daughters,
Mrs. Ron Hickson, Atalanta, Ga., Mrs.
Ben Sowell of Hattisburg, Miss.; one
son, Charlton Blitch Jr., of Homer-
ville, Ga.; three granddaughters, four
sisters and one brother.

Though the members of The Meth-
odist Church and the Women’s Society
of Christian Service will miss her gen-
tle, cheerful spirit and presence, we
are grateful for the consecrated life
she lived --- to have known her was
truly a blessing.

Lovingly submitted by
Mrs. George D. Peagler Sr.
and Mrs. W. Carl Wooten
for the Women’s Society
of Christian Service,
The United Methodist Church
of Homerville, Ga.
