UNION - Laura Adams Brooks, 77, of 200 Birchwood Drive died Aug. 25, 2000, at her home after a lengthy illness.
A native of Kelton, she was widow of Elbert Brooks and daughter of the late Aiken and Grace Howell Adams.
She was a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church, the Mary Lybrand Sunday school class and the Louise Brooks Circle.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy G. Clapier of Monroe, N.C.; one stepdaughter, Brenda B. Jeter of Union; one stepson, Russell Brooks of Union; and eight step-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 5 p.m. Sunday at Union Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. David Brown. The body will remain at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends at the home, 200 Birchwood Drive, Union.
