Leona ( Big MaMa) Bonds, age 83, of Halls died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her home in Halls. Leona was born October 11, 1932 in Memphis,TN . She is the daughter of the late Claudel and the late Lillie Earline (Hall) Hartsfield. Leona was predeceased by her husband, Billy Reece, husband, Levoid Bonds
She is survived by one daughter: Gail White of Halls, TN and two sons: Norman Bonds of Chattanooga, TN, Johnny Bonds of Ripley, TN; Sister of three sisters: Joan Burrnett of Halls, TN, Pearlie Grimison of Senatobia, MS, Phyllis Climer of Halls, TN and one brother: Augusta "Gus" Hartsfield of Halls, TN;
She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her son, Jimmie L. Bonds.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Monday, March 7 at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN with Bro. Ron Scott officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens, Halls on Monday, March 7 at 10:00 am.
Calling hours will be Sunday, March 6 from 5- 8pm at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN.
